Pick Runway Pro if…
your monthly output fits inside 2,250 credits and you rarely leave credits unused.
Max, added in 2025, is Runway's top self-serve plan. Over Pro it brings roughly four times the credits, one month of rollover on unused credits, first access to the newest models and five times the storage.
Keep Pro ($35/mo) if 2,250 credits a month covers your output. Move to Max ($95/mo) if you generate every week, lose credits at month end, or want new models before everyone else. Both are cheaper billed annually.

your monthly output fits inside 2,250 credits and you rarely leave credits unused.
Runway is a daily production tool, your usage swings month to month, or you store large projects.
Max is the only Runway plan that lists rollover, and only for one month. That matters if your work is bursty: a quiet month's credits can cover a busy one. If the reason to upgrade is a team rather than volume, Enterprise (contact sales) adds SSO, workspace analytics and custom teamspaces on top of Max.
Pro is $35/mo and Max is $95/mo billed monthly, with lower rates on annual billing. Max adds 7,250 credits a month, rollover and 400GB more storage.
Credit rollover, first access to the newest models, 500GB of storage and most of Max's credits — 2,250 a month versus 9,500.
Only Max lists rollover: unused credits carry over for one month. The free plan's 125 credits are one-time.
How we choose: prices come from each vendor's official pricing page and are re-checked every week. We take no affiliate fees, so rankings aren't for sale.
